On March 2, 2025, Prem Rawat shattered a 25-year-old Guinness World Record (GWR) for his part in reading to the largest audience at a multi-author book reading, surpassing a record previously held by Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling.
When you’re in touch with your heart,
not just with all the issues,
then life becomes fun.
Then every breath takes on a meaning.
– Prem Rawat, Mirzapur, India, March 2, 2025
Words of Peace, as part of its ongoing series of Behind the Scenes videos, produced a compelling 12-minute video that provided fascinating insights into the efforts required to organize and coordinate such a massive event.

When I am connected to this breath,
I forget all my worries…
My heart becomes filled with gratitude,
with love.
– Prem Rawat, Mirzapur, India, March 2, 2025
The record-setting Mirzapur, India event – the logistics of which were funded by Words of Peace donors – presented a variety of challenges:
Counting 130,000 people: Applicants for a Guinness World Record are required to meet very rigorous specifications, including independent verification through a combination of cutting-edge and manual tracking technologies.
Complying with a variety of GWR technical requirements, i.e., 1) ensuring that each author reads for a minimum of six minutes; 2) coordinating the effort to ensure that each attendee has a paid entry ticket.
Coordinating live translation in English and Hindi to ensure that each attendee can see and hear both speakers clearly.
These days, no matter where you go,
people are being lied to, straight out.
That’s why, when we talk about that divine,
when we talk about that experience,
when we talk about that Knowledge,
when we talk about that light,
we call it the company of Truth.
