How Words of Peace Supports Prem Rawat’s Global Mission

The following article is the first in a series of informative articles to help our readers better understand the kind of effort required to support the transformative work of Prem Rawat. To the casual observer, his global events and outreach initiatives just seem to magically happen, but a lot goes on behind the scenes to ensure that they do – efforts that require extensive planning, coordination, funding, and the participation of many committed volunteers.

For more than 60 years, Prem Rawat has dedicated himself to communicating his life-enhancing message of personal peace to people all around the world. His speaking engagements have ranged from small gatherings to audiences of more than 400,000 to venues as diverse as parliaments, prisons, schools, hotels, community centers, TV studios, convention centers, radio stations and outdoor arenas.

It is not unusual for Prem Rawat to speak at more than 100 events per year.

To keep ticket prices for his events as affordable as possible for people from all walks of life, event revenue often falls short of the costs required to produce them. By providing additional funding, the Words of Peace Global (WOPG) Event fund ensures that anyone interested in learning more about Prem Rawat and Self-Knowledge, regardless of their financial circumstances, can attend his events.

In these cases, WOPG, after carefully reviewing budgets and projected event revenues, provides financial assistance through various loans or grants. Bottom line, their efforts ensure that Prem Rawat’s global events happen smoothly, professionally, and meet the highest standards.

Towards that end, a highly dedicated team of experienced professionals and enthusiastic volunteers coordinate all event logistics and support systems. Its goal is always the same – to enable as many interested people as possible to have access to Prem Rawat’s insights, wisdom, and guidance.

Prem Rawat’s participation at these events is strictly voluntary. He receives no remuneration for his efforts.

Words of Peace is composed of two closely related organizations:

Words of Peace Global: A charitable foundation based in the Netherlands
Words of Peace International: A 501c3 charity in the United States

More than 3,000 donors in 64 countries support these two organizations on a regular basis. It is their generosity that enables Prem Rawat’s global events to take place – and often with very little prep time.

More specifically, in 2024 it was the ongoing efforts of Words of Peace that enabled Prem Rawat to address audiences at 60 events in 21 countries, reaching hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.

Additional examples of how Words of Peace supports Prem Rawat’s work

At Prem Rawat’s three Guinness World Record events, Words of Peace helped finance and manage the complex logistics required to count the massive audiences – a prerequisite to ensure that Prem Rawat met the standards set by Guinness World Records adjudicators.

In 2024, in Johannesburg, South Africa, Words of Peace facilitated a series of Peace Education and Knowledge (PEAK) learning sessions for more than 1,000 local participants—an effort that resulted in approximately 600 people learning the techniques of Self-Knowledge.

Increasingly in recent years, Words of Peace has organized an ongoing series of media interviews, podcasts, and video production projects to help promote Prem Rawat’s message to millions of people worldwide.
