This past weekend Prem spoke with an eager audience of more than 200,000 in Ranchi, India as part of his Humanity and Peace message.
The crowd had travelled far and wide to be in attendance, ranging from young to old. The audience began to gather two days prior to the event, such was the enthusiasm of those in attendance.
Prem delivered a very inspiring 45-minute address which was live-streamed on Anjan TV which broadcasts to over 30 million people in India.
The speech focused on awakening the hunger towards peace and how we each have an equal amount of hate and love inside ourselves, and it’s up to us which 50% we decide to embrace.
Prem also spent a portion of his address exploring the themes of light and darkness. Stating that darkness can only exist with the complete absence of light, Prem explained that as soon as you decide to flick the switch then the light spreads and darkness disappears.
He challenged each member of the vast audience in Ranchi to spread light by reaching inside oneself to flick the switch. If you want to bring peace to the world, then you have to start with yourself.
The event received a sparkling write-up in prominent Indian publications including Dainik Jagran and Eenadu, reaching millions more – clippings included below.
Prem was welcomed onto the stage by the Governor of Jharkland, Draupadi Murmu, while the Chief Minister, Raghubar Das, was also in attendance. Raghubar Das tweeted after the event about participating in this event, which is intended to circulate a message of humanity and peace to society, while commending Prem for the role.
