Global peace ambassador Prem Rawat will join prominent Lambeth-based community campaigner Pastor Lorraine Jones to address London’s growing problem of youth violence at an event in South London this weekend.
The event will welcome a number of distinguished guests including the Jamaican High Commissioner and the Mayor of Lambeth. Guests will also be treated to a selection of local young talent through music, dance and spoken word.
The evening has been organised by Dwaynamics (a fitness and boxing club founded by Pastor Lorraine Jones in honour of her late son Dwayne Simpson, who was stabbed to death in 2014) and Celebrate Life Events, in collaboration with Lambeth Police Community Partnerships.
Prem is due to make a big announcement about his Peace Education Program at the event, which forms part of his larger ‘Peace is possible’ campaign and follows on from a powerful artistic display painted by famous graffiti artist, Ben Eine, on Ebor Street, Shoreditch last weekend.
