Australia is known worldwide as the land Down Under – and for good reason. Located more than 1,700 miles south of the equator, it is situated far below most countries in the world. But that didn’t stop 2,487 people from 55 countries from making the long trek there for a five-day Amaroo 2024 gathering with Prem Rawat, in September, at the Ivorys Rock Conference Center in Queensland.
You have never existed outside of today.
Everything that happens to you …
happens in today.
Prem Rawat, Amaroo 2024, September 10
The purpose of this international event? For students of Prem Rawat to renew, refresh, and reconnect with the feeling that originally attracted them to their beloved teacher and the experience of Self-Knowledge.
While Prem Rawat is well-known for frequently sharing his message of peace all over the world, the duration of most of his events are usually two hours or less. Amaroo, on the other hand, was a five-day affair – an all-too-rare opportunity for attendees to unplug from the daily grind of their lives and immerse in a timeless experience of love, remembrance, inspiration, and a whole lotta fun.
Seeing Prem in person is a unique opportunity. Listening to him fills my heart with
an incredible feeling.
He inspires me every day to be the
best version of myself.
Being at Amaroo with so many people from all over the world who have the same goal to feel peace within themselves gives me hope!
Mariana Sabaté, Argentina

The effort that goes into organizing and coordinating such a large-scale global gathering is no easy task. An extraordinary amount of support services need to be established in order to provide an environment capable of accommodating so many people. The funds required to produce the event were generously provided by a wide variety of donors via Words of Peace Global.
Planning for Amaroo 2024 began six months ago, in January, with a core team of volunteers meeting once per week on Zoom to begin the process – one that eventually included enrolling and coordinating more than 500 volunteers and another 60 local contractors.

While I was at Amaroo,
I got an extra dose of inspiration
to be in love with the timeless part of me.
The memories I have of the beautiful moments
I spent there help me to
choose to stay in the domain of the heart.
Carlos, Spain

I started listening to Prem when I was nine years old. I received Self-Knowledge when I was 18. Amaroo is something I had heard other people talking about for many years.
This year, when Amaroo was confirmed, I felt an inner voice urging me to go. I’m so thankful I did.
It was a life-changing experience for me.
